Job description
The ESS development team supports the software that runs FSU's student systems (Admissions, Advisement, Community, Financial Aid, Student Financials, Student Records), HR/Payroll and related HCM (Human Capital Management) systems, and the financial systems (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, General Ledger, Commitment Control, Grants & Proposals, etc.). The development team also supports the management of scheduling, file transfers and forms & workflows.
This role provides a junior-level Development / Operational (DevOps) analyst. Position is responsible for providing support to FSU's Enterprise Software; this includes, but is not limited to, ERP package software (PeopleSoft), Automic, and Decisions.
Responsible for monitoring of executable objects via the Automic Process Monitor, for all environments (CS/HR/FI). Work with functional resources to resolve any issues.
Assist in all areas where the development team participates. Responsibilities include rotational turn in verifying migrations, support for payroll processing, support for and financial year end.
Responsible for creation/maintenance of documentation pertaining to customer programs and processes. Documentation involves keeping accurate and up-to-date records of the programs and processes used by customers, ensuring that all relevant information is properly documented and easily accessible.
Responsible for reviewing business request requirements and for the development of objects and programs, based on those requirements. Responsible for following naming standards in the development of objects. Development areas include, but is not limited to, PeopleSoft, Automic and Decisions.
Responsible for maintenance of Automic clients. This includes reviewing and removal of inactive objects, research and removal of active objects that are no longer in use, folder organization and regular review of schedules.
CRM Ticketing System Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring that all assigned tickets are addressed and resolved within the specified time frame. This includes monitoring the ticket queue, prioritizing tickets based on urgency and impact. Communicate with customers, keeping them informed. as to Tickets must be updated biweekly.
Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards., Monitor activities in Automic for all clients, investigate errors, reach out to functional BAs as needed. Use downtime to assist others or document existing procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.), This is an entry level position that does require a degree of organization and logical thinking.
