Job description
Description We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in Manchester, Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise-level systems, ensuring their reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in server environments, virtualization, and troubleshooting, along with a collaborative approach to problem-solving., * Administer and maintain Windows server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and related systems.

Implement and manage virtualization solutions using VMware, ensuring efficient deployment and system upkeep.

Monitor and optimize system performance to enhance reliability and operational efficiency.

Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across Windows, Linux, and enterprise applications.

Develop and execute backup and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data.

Manage server infrastructure and storage solutions, including blade servers and enterprise storage systems.

Provide technical support for escalated help desk issues and collaborate with IT teams to address challenges.

Establish and enforce technical standards, procedures, and best practices to maintain system integrity.

Design and implement new infrastructure technologies to support organizational goals.
Requirements

Ensure compliance with security protocols and patch management processes. Requirements * Proven experience in managing enterprise systems and infrastructure environments.

Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.

Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, such as VMware.

Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.

Familiarity with Linux, Citrix, Exchange, and other enterprise applications.

Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell.

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
