Job description
The IT Technician Level I must be knowledgeable in software, hardware, networking, and other technical aspects. Acts as a liaison between Housing Works, Xerox, Comserv/BCMone (the outsourced IT companies), and other vendors regarding technology and infrastructure. Provide on-site support for end users to improve business productivity., Working with the rest of the IT Department to complete projects including but not limited to:
- Hardware upgrades and replacements
- Windows refreshes
- Asset collection, and inventorying
- Cable management and cleanup for server rooms and at end user desks
- Acting as an escalation point for matters where our managed server provider requires hands-on or local support for troubleshooting
- Maintaining IT compliance by auditing users for Secure Print capabilities
- Preparing devices for deployment through a combination of SCCM, Intune, and other MDM software.
- Working with the rest of the team to ensure devices are assigned and tracked properly
- Maintaining e-waste inventory and ensuring it is disposed of properly.
- Maintaining server rooms at all locations and making sure they are clean and receiving proper ventilation
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation as we make changes to the environment and ensuring that users can refer to these for their benefit.
- Providing technical support or training to users.

Compensation Range: $23/hr - $26/hr commensurate with experience, We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year.
