Southeastern Preparatory Academy (SEPA) is seeking a dynamic, highly organized Technology Director / Testing Coordinator to oversee all technology systems and infrastructure while leading the coordination and execution of school-wide standardized testing.
This dual-role position is essential to ensuring the seamless integration of technology into instruction and maintaining the integrity, security, and compliance of all testing programs across grade levels. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of educational systems, assessment protocols, and school operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Director Duties
- Manage and maintain all school technology systems, including networks, hardware (computers, tablets, printers, projectors), and software
- Ensure all instructional and testing devices are functional, secure, and ready for use
- Maintain and support key platforms such as the Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), and internal data systems
- Provide training and ongoing technical support to staff, students, and families
- Oversee technology inventory, repairs, replacements, and lifecycle management
- Implement and enforce data security policies, backups, and system protections
- Monitor internet usage and maintain digital safety systems (e.g., filtering tools, firewalls)
- Evaluate and recommend new educational technologies aligned with academic goals
- Collaborate with administration on budgeting and long-term technology planning
Testing Coordinator Duties
- Coordinate all standardized testing programs (state assessments, benchmarks, PERT, SAT/ACT, and internal diagnostics)
- Develop and manage testing schedules across all grade levels with minimal disruption to instruction
- Train and supervise testing staff to ensure compliance with all procedures and security protocols
- Ensure all testing environments meet strict security and regulatory requirements
- Manage student data uploads, testing platforms, and system readiness
- Troubleshoot technical issues during testing to ensure smooth administration
- Organize make-up testing sessions and retesting windows
- Collect, analyze, and report testing data to leadership and instructional staff
- Maintain all testing documentation and materials for audits and compliance
Additional Responsibilities
- Lead and implement technology strategies that enhance teaching and learning
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and external agencies regarding technology and testing
- Support classroom technology integration and resolve issues promptly
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all student data and testing materials

Requirements
- Proven experience in educational technology, IT systems, or school-based operations
- Strong understanding of standardized testing procedures, compliance, and security protocols
- Leadership and supervisory experience, with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently under pressure
- Customer service mindset with the ability to support diverse stakeholders
- Experience in a school setting or working with educators preferred
- Familiarity with adult learning and training environments is a plus
Benefits & conditions
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
