Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Systems Administrator to provide hands-on technical support and network administration within a manufacturing environment. This role will serve as the first line of support for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring users remain productive and connected. The position involves troubleshooting, maintaining IT infrastructure, and supporting both office and shop floor systems. This is a highly interactive role requiring strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Provide Level 1 support for LAN/WLAN networks, hardware, and software issues Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and connectivity issues Perform system updates, including Windows patches and antivirus maintenance Support data backup and disaster recovery processes Administer firewall access and assist with basic cybersecurity practices Track and manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and SLA adherence Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and engineering staff to resolve issues Support shop floor systems, machine connectivity, and digital display technologies
Requirements
24 years of experience in systems administration, IT support, or network support Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking (LAN/WLAN, connectivity troubleshooting) Experience with hardware/software troubleshooting and system support Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between sites Preferred Qualifications Associates or Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Familiarity with firewall administration and basic cybersecurity practices Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management tools
