What You'll Be Doing
As a Data Center Technician, you'll be part of a skilled team responsible for upgrading, installing, and supporting RNG devices inside customer data centers. Your day-to-day work will include:

Installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting hardware in live data center environments

Verifying network connectivity by checking ports and validating Layer 1 connections with network engineers (switches, routers, cabling)

Performing break-fix repairs on servers, networking equipment, hard drives, GPUs, and related infrastructure

Preparing, staging, setting up, and executing equipment startups and shutdowns (racks, servers, switches, drives) using documented procedures and checklists

Conducting post-deployment quality checks to ensure proper grounding, labeling, staging, and cabling aligned with safety and deployment standards

Diagnosing issues quickly, identifying root causes, and replacing faulty components with precision

Decommissioning hardware during tech refresh cycles (memory upgrades, OS rebuilds, equipment retirement)

Performing daily safety checks and equipment inspections to meet strict client and site standards

Communicating clearly with clients and internal teams, providing daily project and status updates

Escalating incidents and issues to Datacenter Technician Leads following established procedures

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Ashburn, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
