Oracle PL/SQL Developer - Remote (national) - Contract to Hire

• Oracle PL/SQL heavy and sits within a legacy, database-driven application. The manager is specifically looking for candidates with strong experience building and maintaining business logic directly in PL/SQL, not DBAs or data/ETL-focused profiles enior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to support Eye Cloud Pro, a critical practice management application for optical businesses.
• role will focus heavily on Oracle PL/SQL development and DHTMLX-based web interfaces, working within a "thick database, thin application" architecture. Ideal for developers who thrive in enterprise environments with mature codebases and complex business workflows.

Frontend Legacy Technologies (Critical):

• DHTMLX Suite v5.1 (2+ years preferred)
• Grids, forms, layouts, charts
• Custom configuration, styling, event/data handling
• Vanilla JavaScript (DOM manipulation, AJAX, async programming)
• Cross-browser compatibility
• HTML/CSS (semantic markup, enterprise styling, responsive design) jQuery (2+ years)
• DOM manipulation, AJAX integration with Oracle backend
• Plugin development/integration.
• Web Application Architecture:
• Thick database / thin application patterns
• Session management & state handling
• Server-side rendering from DB procedures

Must-Have Technical Skills: Oracle & Database (Critical):

• Oracle PL/SQL development (4+ years)
• Functions, procedures, packages, views
• Complex business logic
• Performance tuning & optimization
• Oracle mod_plsql framework
• Database-driven web application patterns
• Oracle Application Server deployment.

Advanced SQL:

• Multi-table joins, analytical functions
• Query optimization for large datasets
• Oracle-specific features/functions, * Node.js / Express.js (2+ years)
• RESTful APIs, node-oracledb connectivity
• Authentication & middleware

Cloud & DevOps:

• AWS (ECS, RDS Oracle, S3, CloudWatch)
• Docker (basic containerization)
• Git (version control & collaboration).

Development Environment:

• Oracle SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, TOAD
• JavaScript debugging (browser dev tools)
• Unix/Linux command line basics
