- Performs all responsibilities listed below independently, assisting department and leadership with the coordination of daily work/preventative maintenance.
- Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off-air interference.
- Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to variables such as cable breaks and/or damage
- Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) in the form of testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment
- Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations
- Complete fiber splicing activities in any routine and/or emergency situations independently
- Complete and distribute required documentation, such as work orders and daily logs
- Responsible for providing training, guidance, and mentorship to new Broadband Network Technicians
- Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years as a maintenance technician
- Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license
- Customer Service

- Ability to read and interpret maps
- Bucket Certified; Ohm's

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Work performed in both climatecontrolled and nonclimatecontrolled environments, with potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, damp conditions, uneven surfaces, heights, and moving vehicles
- Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and driving required
- Ability to safely climb and work from ladders for extended periods of time
- Frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, and using hands above and below shoulder level
- Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, and maintain various body positions and perform fine motor tasks, forceful gripping, and limited keyboarding

The base salary range in Texas for this position is $32.00-$41.00 per hour, plus opportunities for bonus and benefits, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to Texas and may not be applicable to other locations.
