Job description

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in secure DoD environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)

  • Support migration of on-premise systems to cloud-based architectures

  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation

  • Integrate security controls in alignment with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Zero Trust principles

  • Collaborate with developers and DevSecOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security using cloud-native and third-party tools

  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues

  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, including documentation and artifact development

  • Ensure compliance with DoD and federal cybersecurity policies (e.g., NIST 800-53, STIGs)

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, strong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, and the ability to support modern DevSecOps practices in a highly secure, mission-driven environment., * Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience: 5-10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3+ years in cloud engineering
  • Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure , preferably in government cloud environments
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Bicep)
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, firewalls)
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience supporting RMF/ATO processes and cybersecurity compliance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment
  • Certifications:
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, or equivalent) - Required
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps , or Azure Administrator - Preferred
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar - Nice to have

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting USASOC, SOCOM, or other DoD environments

  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) concepts and implementation

  • Experience with DevSecOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps)

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash)

  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk)

  • Understanding of hybrid cloud/on-prem integration

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
  • Must be a US Citizen
