Job description

Job Title: Oracle HCM Technical Developer Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Extension likely), Technical Responsibilities (Primary)

  • Design and develop HCM integrations using OIC, REST APIs, and HDL
  • Build and maintain HCM Extracts for outbound data interfaces
  • Develop and enhance Fast Formulas for payroll, absence, and benefits logic
  • Perform data loads using HDL and troubleshoot data issues
  • Write and optimize SQL/PL-SQL queries for data validation and reporting
  • Develop OTBI and BI Publisher (BIP) reports
  • Customize and support Redwood UI pages and HCM configurations
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, data issues, and production defects

Functional Exposure (Secondary 30%)

  • Work with business users to understand requirements across:
  • Payroll
  • Benefits
  • Absence
  • Time & Labor
  • Support payroll-related technical issues and assist during payroll runs
  • Translate functional requirements into technical solutions

Testing & Support

  • Participate in:
  • SIT / UAT testing cycles
  • Quarterly patch testing
  • Provide production support and issue triage
  • Collaborate with functional and offshore teams

Requirements

Overview: We are seeking a highly technical Oracle HCM Developer with strong expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud technologies. This role is primarily 70% technical and 30% functional, requiring hands-on development experience along with a working understanding of HCM business processes. The ideal candidate must have strong skills in HCM data integrations, APIs, reporting, and Fast Formulas, along with exposure to Payroll, Benefits, Absence, and Time & Labor modules.

Must Have Technical Skills (Primary Focus 70%)

  • Strong hands-on experience in:
  • HCM Extracts (critical)
  • Fast Formulas (Payroll, Absence, Benefits)
  • HDL (HCM Data Loader)
  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
  • HCM REST / SOAP APIs
  • SQL / PL-SQL (data validation, troubleshooting)
  • OTBI and BI Publisher (BIP) reporting
  • Redwood UI / HCM page customizations
  • Experience developing:
  • Inbound and outbound HCM integrations
  • Data migration and transformation processes
  • Custom reports and dashboards, * Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Computer Science
