Job description
- Identify coverage gaps between Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and validation plans, partnering with TPMs to ensure all critical development milestones were met on schedule.
- Define and execute comprehensive Critical User Journey (CUJ) test cases, engineering specialized automation and setups to accelerate validation.
- Own end-to-end stress testing (Run-in, Rack, OmniMotion), leading initial debugging and root-cause analysis to resolve design flaws early.
- Replicate complex failures to isolate specific signatures, collaborating across functional teams to mitigate system-level defects and enhance performance.
- Integrate AI technologies into the validation ecosystem for Google consumer products, significantly advancing test efficiency and overall engineering productivity.

Requirements
Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area., * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience working in a consumer electronics technical environment, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience in Python, MATLAB, or Perl, with the architectural experience in developing test suites and automating system and hardware validations., * Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) derivation and statistical analysis to drive comprehensive validation plans and optimize hardware performance.
- Expertise in electrical bring-up and root cause failure analysis for high-volume consumer electronics, with a focus on resolving complex design flaws under timelines.
Benefits & conditions
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
