Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Data Scientist for a remote direct placement opportunity with an employee-focused digital learning company. The Lead Data Scientist will join an innovative Data and AI team, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to solve complex, high-impact problems. This individual will leverage advanced algorithms, experimentation, and interactive dashboards to optimize company performance and improve outcomes for students and educators. The role involves leading the development and optimization of sophisticated machine learning models, generating actionable insights from large and complex datasets, and contributing to novel research initiatives and production-grade algorithms. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with the best data science team in Ed Tech., * Advanced education (PhD or Master's) in a quantitative field (science, math, statistics, engineering, etc.) with professional work experience as a Data Scientist

  • 7+ years of experience leading data science initiatives to deliver impactful results
  • 7+ years of experience with Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning Experience working with Product Managers to monitor solutions long-term
  • Deep ML & Statistics expertis
  • Advanced skills in Python, SQL and experience with git and cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Databricks
  • MLOps experience including deployment, monitoring, retraining, and governance LLMs, and applications of GenAI tools (e.g. agents) for product features and productivity enhancements

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Docker/containerized workflow
  • Experience in EdTech or learning platforms Statistics and research experience
  • Computer vision experience
  • A good understanding of Spark and parallel processing
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices for model deployment
  • Understanding of ETL systems/processes (ie batch vs real-time processing, medallion architecture, etc)
  • Understanding and/or experience with recommender systems, causal inference, graphical neural networks, and reinforcement learning paradigms
