Job description
- Provide supervision, mentoring, career development, and performance management for a team of 7-15 software engineers.
- Conduct one-on-one and section level meetings.
- Provide a safe, inclusive culture.
- Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new team members to meet business needs.
- Use your technical skills and experience to ensure the design, implementation, and sustainment of our software solutions meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Support program execution through cost and schedule management, and metrics tracking.
- Contribute to bid and proposal efforts.
- Collaborate with other functional managers and discipline leads to ensure program success.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role/program, the expectation is that this job will be performed fully on site in Nashua, NH.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
- 8 years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities in either a functional and/or technical role.
- Ability to lead a medium to large groups
- Demonstrated ability to guide individuals through complicated or difficult situations effectively and professionally
- Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Able to obtain a Secret clearance
- Prior functional management experience (i.e. general supervision, performance management, staffing)
- Embedded software design and implementation
- Experience with electronic warfare
- Deep knowledge in C
- Working knowledge of Atlassian Suite
- Cost Account Management/Earned Value Management in a DoD environment
Benefits & conditions
Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317
