Job description
- Analyze and review system architectures for security risks and vulnerabilities
- Design and recommend secure architecture patterns and controls
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to embed security into system design
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for applications and platforms
- Define security standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Evaluate new technologies and solutions from a security perspective
- Support compliance initiatives (e.g., audits, regulatory requirements)
- Review access controls, identity management, and data protection mechanisms
- Assist in incident response and root cause analysis when needed
- Maintain documentation of security architectures and controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 4-8 years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, or related roles
- Strong understanding of network security, application security, and cloud security
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks)
- Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) concepts
- Understanding of encryption, secure protocols, and data protection techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, * Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture
- Experience with security tools (SIEM, vulnerability scanners, etc.)
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or SABSA), * Security-first mindset with attention to detail
- Strong analytical and risk assessment abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to translate technical risks into business impact
