Job description

Kentro is hiring for a Project Manager to lead and oversee Zero Trust initiatives in support of the USSOCOM Enterprise Development and Application Training (EDAT) program. This role is responsible for managing complex cybersecurity and enterprise IT efforts aligned with the Department of Defense (DoD) Zero Trust strategy. The ideal candidate will drive execution across cross-functional teams, ensure alignment with mission objectives, and deliver secure, scalable solutions in a high-tempo operational environment., * Lead planning, execution, and delivery of Zero Trust initiatives across EDAT and USSOCOM enterprise environments

  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and performance using Agile and/or hybrid methodologies
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders (COR, ACOR, PMO) to ensure alignment with mission priorities and contract requirements
  • Oversee implementation of Zero Trust principles including identity, device, network, application, and data security pillars
  • Facilitate risk management, issue resolution, and dependency tracking across multiple technical teams
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) guidance
  • Lead program reviews, status reporting, and executive-level briefings
  • Collaborate with engineers, developers, and cybersecurity teams to integrate Zero Trust solutions into enterprise systems
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to ensure successful project delivery
  • Support continuous process improvement and adoption of best practices across the EDAT program

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience: 8-12+ years of experience in IT project/program management, preferably within DoD or federal environments
  • Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience managing Zero Trust, cybersecurity, or enterprise IT modernization initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of DoD Zero Trust Strategy and NIST cybersecurity frameworks
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, * Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe certification
  • Familiarity with USSOCOM/J6 or SOF enterprise environments
  • Experience supporting RMF processes, ATO lifecycle, and cybersecurity compliance
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and DevSecOps practices
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar
