Job description
The Traveling Level 4 Data Center Technician provides hands-on support for enterprise data center operations and infrastructure upgrade projects across multiple U.S. locations. This role requires experienced technicians who can step into active environments quickly, support fiber and cabling initiatives, and assist with early-phase project execution. Between travel assignments, the technician supports data center operations in Fayetteville GA., * Support data center infrastructure upgrades, including fiber and cabling modernization
- Perform cable removal, installation, termination, labeling, and testing (fiber and copper)
- Rack, stack, and decommission servers and network equipment
- Troubleshoot physical-layer, hardware, and connectivity issues
- Perform fiber and copper testing using industry-standard tools
- Assist with establishing processes and standards during early project phases
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records
- Follow safety, access control, and data center operational procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience working in data center environments
- Strong hands-on experience with structured cabling and cable replacement
- Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues independently
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, production data centers
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide
- Strong communication and documentation skills, * Experience supporting large-scale fiber or data center modernization projects
- Fiber testing experience (OTDR, light meter, or similar tools)
- GPU experience
- Experience supporting early-stage or "tiger team" deployments
Work Environment
- Fully onsite in data center facilities
- Physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, ladder use, and extended standing

This is a Contract position based out of Fayetteville, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $44.00/hr.
