- Consult on and participate in complex initiatives within Software Engineering, contributing to large-scale planning and deliverables.
- Review and analyze middleware services applications design, development, and engineering management challenges.
- Collaborate with client personnel to ensure compliance, resiliency, and operational excellence in high-volume environments.
- Support the evolution of platform architecture towards microservices, including containerization and cloud readiness.
- Engage in performance testing, stress testing, and load analysis to maintain system stability and performance under peak demand.
Requirements
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Software Engineer 3 - Contingent to join their team. As a Software Engineer 3 - Contingent, you will be part of the Software Engineering department supporting a mission-critical middleware platform used by numerous internal banking clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization., * 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
- Prior experience with middleware services, web services/API design, and implementation in high-volume production environments.
- Leadership experience supporting, leading, and directing geographically distributed teams.
- Knowledge of cloud design principles, containerization (Kubernetes/OpenShift), and observability/monitoring tools such as Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, or Splunk.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, with experience working in Agile environments using tools like Jira or Confluence.
