IT - Network Engineer 3

We are seeking a Senior Wireless Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This individual will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise wireless networks. This role requires expertise in wireless technologies, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead initiatives in large-scale environments. The ideal candidate will work with network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure availability, performance, and scalability of wireless services., * Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise wireless networks (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).

• Oversee and train a team of 6 engineers on wireless support.
• Utilize Cisco Catalyst Center to manage wireless infrastructure, perform assurance monitoring, and automate configuration.
• Troubleshoot wireless issues related to RF, authentication, roaming, and performance.
• Lead wireless projects, upgrades, and lifecycle refresh initiatives.
• Conduct site surveys.
• Provide technical leadership and documentation.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to support business requirements.

Experience: 5-7+ years of experience managing Cisco wireless infrastructure.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with 9800 series wireless controllers.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center.
• Extensive experience with Routing and Switching.
• Knowledge of WLAN security and RF design principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCNA.
• Experience with Cisco Firepower.
• Experience with Cisco SDA networks.
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Knowledge of BGP routing.

The anticipated pay rate for this position is $50-55 per hour. This is a contract-to-hire role with a potential full-time conversion. Our organization offers a benefits package available to eligible employees.
