Job description
We are seeking a Workday Analyst for a 9-month, term-limited role with the potential for renewal, to support the optimization of our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Recruiting modules. This role will focus on translating business process improvement and configuration recommendations into system configuration, testing, and deployment.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, HRIS hands-on role ideal for someone who can partner closely with People Operations and Talent Acquisition teams to improve system functionality, streamline workflows, and ensure successful implementation of enhancements.
This position is classified as hybrid, in accordance with Audubon's "Where We Work" Policy. Hybrid employees are expected to work in an Audubon office every Monday and Tuesday and an additional two days each month of the employee's choosing. Candidates should be located within commuting distance of Audubon's offices in Washington, DC or New York, NY., * Configure, test, and deploy Workday enhancements across HCM and Recruiting, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
- Partner with People Operations and Talent Acquisition stakeholders to optimize business processes, translating functional recommendations into system configurations within Workday
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and user experience across Workday processes
- Partner with stakeholders to validate system changes and ensure alignment with business needs
- Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Develop comprehensive documentation including standard operating procedures, configuration guides, and training materials to support adoption and system usage.
- Maintains and fosters culture of safety.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of hands-on Workday experience, with strong configuration experience in:
- HCM
- Recruiting
- Security
- Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking to Workday configuration, anticipating how changes impact interconnected modules and cross-functional workstreams, and recommending solutions that optimize the platform holistically
- Experience implementing system enhancements and process improvements
- Experience documenting processes and SOPs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions
- Proven ability to clearly communicate system changes, enhancements, and impacts to stakeholders in a way that is easily understood, driving alignment and adoption
