Job description
A client in the market research industry is looking for a team of Platform Engineers to support a client re-engineering project in the insurance industry. These resources will be supporting a platform migration from VMWare to Kubernetes working alongside Application teams to re-platform a multi-cloud environment with 50+ applications. The day to day will include building and delivering the Kubernetes infrastructure to enable the application layer to migrate. This opportunity is a 12 month contract with likely extensions until work is completed.
Requirements
7+ years of professional experience in Platform, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Strong technical expertise installing + configuring Kubernetes in an On-Prem environment
o Experience with Rancher or RKE for lifecycle management + cluster provisioning

Well versed in Infrastructure as Code with prior exposure to Terraform modules + automation

Experience supporting Kubernetes or VMWare migrations - Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
