Job description
Collaborates with teams across Consumer Access, Pre-Access, and other Revenue Cycle functional areas to translate operational and business requirements to end users and leaders. Provides ongoing subject matter expert support to guide complex initiatives for applications used by Consumer Access and Pre-Access departments, recommending optimal system and technology usage. Assists with implementation and testing of Consumer Access and Pre-Access applications, ensuring automations, dashboards, and other tools provide accurate and usable data. Identifies opportunities and provides actionable recommendations for process improvement in support of strategic initiatives related to Consumer Access and Pre-Access business processes and applications. Coordinates and leads feedback and calibration sessions with team members and managers to leverage quality management tools for training and coaching. Collaborates with Corporate Education, Vendor Management, Project Management, and other Revenue Cycle leaders to provide operational support during strategic Revenue Cycle initiatives. Works with Education and Quality Audit teams to assess trends, perform root cause analysis, and recommend process and technology enhancements. Provides recommendations on policies and procedures to improve employee efficiency and consumer experience, prioritizing and addressing the most critical issues. Creates and provides continuing education and leadership development materials, supporting and training customers, vendors, and internal/external stakeholders on revenue cycle applications and processes. Requirements
- Deep understanding of operational process and workflows across the front, middle, and/or back-end Revenue Cycle
- Deep understanding of Epic applications, Revenue Cycle specific tools, technologies, and vendors, their capabilities, data structure, and relation with other applications
- Exceptional problem-solving
- Understanding of HIPAA privacy rules and ability to use discretion when discussing patient related information that is confidential in nature (as needed to perform duties)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to effectively learn and perform multiple tasks, and organize work in a systematic and efficient manner
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English, both verbally and in written form
- Ability to follow complex instructions and procedures, with close attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to adapt to change
- Ability to multitask proficiently, using multiple computer systems, applications, and technology
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge of system testing and quality assurance methodologies
- Technical knowledge of current software solutions including report development
- Ability to research and communicate complex interpreted data
Education:
- Associate [Preferred]
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
- Associates in Business, Accounting, Finance, Health Administration, or another related field Preferred
Work Experience:
- 1+ hospital revenue cycle related experience [Required], * Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) [Preferred]
- Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) [Preferred]
- Certified Revenue Cycle Rep (CRCR) [Preferred]
