Job description

Our innovative company is looking to fill the role of Windows Administrator. Day to day activities include developing and documenting system specifications, implementing hardware and OS, maintaining high operational uptime stringent SLAs, coordinating with applications and database teams and other operational and project-based tasks., * Have a good understanding of Windows Server operating systems and be able to apply that knowledge to manage and maintain windows environment

  • Perform systems administration and operation of windows based systems
  • Operate, administer, and upgrade computer systems, devices, and software
  • Deploy software which includes scheduling, executing, and troubleshooting the deployment of software applications
  • Deploy security patches which includes scheduling, executing, and troubleshooting the deployment of security patches
  • Provide certificate management services
  • Provision and deliver computer systems and services
  • Maintain computer systems in a fully operational state through monitoring, alerting troubleshooting, and performing repair and restoration activities to a compliant operational state
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse user community in quick-response situations and to coordinate / collaborate with team members

Performs additional duties as directed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a Windows System Administrator
  • Good knowledge managing virtualized (VMware) operating systems
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Windows golden OS images
  • Experience with managing proactive monitoring and alerting to assure system uptime
  • High level troubleshooting skills at the OS, virtualization and hardware layer
  • Understanding of networking topology and protocols
  • Clear and concise communications both written and verbal
