Job description
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise-scale application deployments and major IT transformation initiatives. This role partners closely with enterprise application leaders, Senior business stakeholders, and a centralized PMO to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business outcomes-not just technical execution.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone comfortable operating in both Agile and Waterfall environments, navigating change, and driving accountability across large, cross-functional teams.
This position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence four days per week (Monday-Thursday) in Charlotte, NC, and is offered as a W2 opportunity., * Lead end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise IT projects, from initiation through stabilization
- Partner with enterprise application leaders and Senior stakeholders to define scope, timelines, budgets, and success criteria
- Drive project planning, prioritization, execution, and governance in alignment with established PMO standards
- Ensure adherence to Goal Deployment Process (GDP) and Project Delivery Process (PDP)
- Manage day-to-day project execution across all phases, including:
- Accelerated Business Readiness (ABR)
- Testing cycles and defect resolution
- Deployment and post-implementation stabilization
- Coordinate dependencies across:
- Legacy systems and integrations
- New technology deployments
- Related enterprise and SBU initiatives
- Own project governance activities including:
- Risk and issue management
- Resource forecasting and alignment
- Status reporting and milestone tracking
- Business readiness and benefit realization
- Facilitate Senior -level meetings, drive alignment, and resolve conflicts quickly
- Escalate risks and issues appropriately to sponsors and the PMO
- Support internal audit readiness and compliance activities
- Manage change initiatives and interventions to ensure delivery outcomes are met
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
- Strong experience delivering projects within IT Service Operations or enterprise application environments
- Proven experience managing large, complex enterprise deployments
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
- Hands-on Change Management experience
- Familiarity with PMO governance frameworks, including GDP, PDP, or similar methodologies
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience supporting major IT or business transformation programs
- Exposure to regulatory, audit, or risk-managed environments
- Experience coordinating across multiple programs or workstreams

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
