This position is a new role that is needed because the company is growing. They need a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as a systems administrator/engineer. The client needs a plug in option, someone well rounded("Master of some"). The client needs someone who is technically deep, comfortable calling vendors, a problem solver and service oriented and collaborative. They will work 5 days on site and be on-call for any network issues. This cannot be someone trying to "punch-up" from a helpdesk position, they are also not going to be pushing anyone to management. Technical Environment: -90% on-prem - Strong preference to keep data on-prem - Cloud mostly limited to 3rd-party SaaS - Security-first organization Tech Stack - Windows Server (standardized) - Active Directory (deep knowledge required) - Microsoft Exchange on-prem - Networking (routing & switching) - SQL / DBMS experience (SQL, MySQL, Oracle - not expert-level required) - Some Linux/Unix exposure (nice to have) Current / Upcoming Initiatives - Transitioning from Cisco routers * Check Point firewalls with SD-WAN - Check Point experience = major plus - Ongoing infrastructure upgrades (constant)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $72.00/hr.
