Job description

CMIT Solutions of Greensboro, NC is currently seeking a knowledgeable Tier 1 Computer Support Technician to help us support and develop client/partners in the Greensboro and High Point area. It is critically important that candidates live within 30 minutes of Greensboro.

Responsibilities will be to assess client/partner environments, support, design, install, troubleshoot and maintain client/partner networks and computers.

This is an opportunity to join our collaborative team of IT professionals to achieve excellent outcomes for our very satisfied customers. As a member of this team, you will support a wide range of server, desktop, network, security, and application products. This full-time position combines working from our Friendly Ave. office in Greensboro and onsite visits to provide professional IT support to our customers., * Provide excellent customer service placing the customer first in all that you do.

  • Provide remote and onsite technical support to our clients.
  • Document and resolve incoming service requests and alerts, including escalations and manufacturer support
  • Promptly answer phone calls and respond to tickets
  • Use required programs to complete service requests from customers
  • Contribute to and maintain system, installation and configuration standards and procedures
  • Share newly acquired information with peers to improve support team capabilities
  • Comply with internal security controls and procedures for CMIT customers
  • Be willing to be mentored and trained by others, increasing your own knowledge and capabilities
  • Approach technical issues with root cause discovery and resolution in mind
  • Communicate with clients as required: keep them informed of incident progress; notify them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain a professional image while representing CMIT Solutions.

Requirements

1 - 3 years supporting and maintaining Windows & Mac computers

Experience installing and supporting wired and wireless networks

Experience administrating Microsoft Exchange, Azure, Teams and Office

Experience managing Windows Server Active Directory

PREFERRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology is preferred, Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • One or more of the following certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
  • Microsoft Certified Server Engineer (MCSE)
  • CompTIA A+, Server +, Network+, Security+

OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based at our office on Friendly Ave. in Greensboro. You will typically spend half of each week working in the office and the other half at customer sites. CMIT provides a company phone and computer.

You must have a suitable, reliable vehicle that is clean and in working order for visits to customer sites. You must maintain a valid driver's license and auto liability insurance. The company will reimburse you for business miles driven., * Associate (Preferred), * Windows: 1 year (Required)
