COMBAT SYSTEM APPLICATION SYSTEMS ENGINEER III - PMS 425 in Middletown

• General duties include technical engineering support to the Submarine Combat and Weapon Control System Program Office, providing direct support to the PMS425 Chief Engineer with technical oversight and direction to the integration of BYG-1 Non-Developmental Item (NDI) Applications. Perform technical reviews on submittals including drawings, system diagrams, technical manual, test/install procedures, test results, contract deliverable reviews, delivery milestones. Troubleshoot, analyze, and determine operating problems, make appropriate recommendations and changes to correct deficiencies in coordination with the program CHENG and Technical Direction Agent (TDA) team. Provide technical concurrence for the NDI applications in support of entrance into formal test and delivery milestones

• Active secret clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in technical, engineering, or cybersecurity field.
• 10 or more years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, or a relevant field
• 5 or more years of experience with Navy acquisition and/or In-Service Programs
• 2+ years of experience with Navy Engineering Support
• Must be local to the Washington, DC or Newport, RI area and able to travel to support in-person meetings/test events/training events as needed (~1-2 times per month)
• Ability to analyze and process engineering program documentation
• Ability to develop/document/implement new processes
• Ability to analyze program risks and develop risk assessments
• Must be proactive, work independently, and within a team environment
• Proficient with running a meeting and taking minutes/managing actions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
