Job description

Infosys is seeking PeopleSoft Admin and DBA with exposure to one or more applications who can manage, onboard users, maintain and monitor applications. This includes tasks like installation, user management, patching, security configuration and providing technical support. Additionally, proficiency in scripting languages, automating tasks working on Linux OS and exposure to middleware technologies. This is an important role in smooth functioning of application. The selected candidate should be able to support tickets, manage and / or open new Oracle Service Requests (SR's) as per customer requirements. Interact with customer process consultants and SME's, perform root cause analysis where required and analyze various processes.

Requirements

  • Location for this position is Anywhere in US. This position may require relocation and/or travel to client/project location.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
  • In order to comply with legal requirements, this role is limited to "U.S. persons" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15. U.S. persons include U.S. citizens, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, and certain refugees and asylees.
  • Issue resolution, root cause identification and analysis, recommend solution to complex issues.
  • Good understanding of software engineering practices and various business processes.
  • Manage Oracle SRs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Peoplesoft applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and desire to work closely with Customer

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
