Data Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a team responsible for operational control, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

Mission Context

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in collecting, processing, and analyzing data to support strategic and operational decisions.

You will work in a complex environment, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance, while delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.

Function Description

Data Management & Analysis

• Collect, clean, link, and validate data from multiple sources

• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies

• Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal standards

• Develop data solutions in complex environments

Business Collaboration & Reporting

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs

• Translate complex data into clear insights for management

• Provide data-driven recommendations

• Negotiate and follow up remediation plans with stakeholders

Autonomy & Continuous Improvement

• Work autonomously while ensuring alignment with the team

• Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Show proactivity, determination, and willingness to learn

Language Requirements

• Dutch: Fluent

• French: Fluent

• English: Fluent

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics or Data Engineering

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL and knowledge of SAS

• Proven experience in data pooling and sampling (self-service oriented)

• Experience in building data solutions in complex environments

• Advanced Excel skills, including VBA

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

Business Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly

• Ability to synthesize information and deliver key messages

• Stakeholder management and negotiation skills
