Job description
We are looking for a motivated Junior Cyber Security Engineer to join a high impact project supporting a major Belgian government organisation in Brussels.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an early career engineer who wants real responsibility on a meaningful public sector project from day one. You'll gain valuable experience in a secure government environment while working on technology that directly supports national services and citizens.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands on experience in a cyber security role
- Practical experience with a SIEM platform (Splunk is highly preferred, but we will consider experience with other platforms)
- Good understanding of Incident Response and case management
- Exposure to SOC automation tools
- Familiarity with CTI platforms such as MISP or OpenCTI
- Basic experience with an EDR/XDR solution
- Some scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar) to automate tasks
