Senior Linux Engineer

We are seeking candidates with experience as a Senior Linux Engineer. This role is a hands-on position responsible for the engineering, stability, and operational readiness of enterprise Linux and OpenShift platforms supporting containerized workloads. It provides technical leadership, ensures adherence to engineering standards, and drives platform resilience and production readiness for new workloads.

The role also contributes to global IT initiatives and collaborates with automation, security, and operations teams to maintain secure, compliant, and scalable Linux and OpenShift environments.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and run enterprise Linux platforms (mainly RHEL) for OpenShift/Kubernetes
• Serve as EMEA technical authority for Linux and container platforms
• Build and maintain OpenShift clusters with focus on stability, performance, lifecycle management and upgrade readiness
• Ensure systems meet security hardening standards and operational best practices
• Partner with Automation Engineering to drive Ansible and GitLab-based automation
• Contribute to architecture, capacity planning, and production readiness assessments
• Support onboarding of production workloads onto OpenShift with proper monitoring and operations
• Join on-call escalations and incident bridges, serving as a senior escalation point for complex Linux and container incidents.
• Provide after-hours and weekend support for platform updates, incidents, and maintenance.
• Integrate Linux and OpenShift with monitoring/logging tools (eg, Splunk) and partner with Security on audit and compliance.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and runbooks while continuously deepening expertise in Linux and container platforms technologies.

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise Linux (RHEL), proven production OpenShift administration, and solid knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and operations.
• Experience using Ansible for Linux configuration management and automation, and working with Git-based workflows, preferably GitLab.
• Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (eg, Splunk)
• Experience in regulated, change-controlled environments
• Good grasp of production operations, incident management, and resilience
• Highly technical, hands-on engineer with strong ownership, comfortable as a senior technical escalation point, and calm under pressure during incidents
• Strong communicator, able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and collaborative, with a strong focus on platform stability, quality, and cross-team/region teamwork
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Relevant certifications (eg, RHCE, OpenShift, Kubernetes) preferred but not required
