Job description
We are seeking a battle-tested Senior SAP Solution Architect to lead architecture and design for a greenfield S/4HANA implementation., 1. Architecture & Landscape Strategy - Own end-to-end S/4HANA architecture: Public Cloud vs Private Cloud vs On-Prem decision with 5-year TCO model. Define integration strategy: SAP BTP, Integration Suite, APIs, middleware. Approve all point-to-point exceptions. Design security & compliance model: SSO, role design, SoD, GRC. Sign off before build. Establish development standards: Clean Core, side-by-side extensions, RICEFW governance.

Solution Design Authority: Chair Architecture Review Board. No design moves to build without your approval. Review and approve all functional specs, technical specs, and WRICEF objects. Ensure end-to-end process integrity across FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, EWM, SCM. Kill silos. Drive data strategy: Master data governance, migration approach, tool selection, and archiving plan

Risk & Program Guidance Advise C-suite on scope trade-offs: "If we add WMS, go-live slips 3 months. Here's the cost." Perform SI design reviews. Identify where SI is over-engineering or taking shortcuts. Own cutover architecture: Mock load strategy, performance testing, DR, hypercare landscape. Act as an escalation point for complex defects and integration failures.
Requirements
Required Qualifications: 15+ years of SAP experience with 8+ years as Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect, 3+ full lifecycle S/4HANA greenfield implementations as Lead Architect. ECC to S/4 conversions don't count. Must be net-new Hands-on across modules: Deep in at least 2 of FI/CO, SD, MM, PP. Conversant in all others. You should argue with Functional Leads, Technical depth: SAP BTP, Integration Suite/CPI, Fiori, ABAP extensibility, HANA modeling, security. RISE experience required. Proven "no" track record: Able to provide examples where you blocked custom code, saved the client $500k+, or forced a process change. Board presence: Presented landscape + TCO to CFO/CEO/PE boards. Comfortable defending $10M+ decisions US-based, able to be onsite Alpharetta 25-50% during design phases Preferred QualificationsExperience with PE-backed companies, carve-outs, or 2-tier ERP models Industry depth in Manufacturing, Distribution, or CPG SAP Certified: S/4HANA Enterprise Architect or BTP Solution Architect Experience with Migration Cockpit, Syniti, or SAP Advanced Data Migration Prior role at Big 4 or boutique SAP architecture firm.
