Systems Engineer/Remote Tri-State

A well-established financial services firm is hiring a Systems Engineer for a full-time, internal role supporting a hybrid infrastructure environment. This position is primarily remote within the Tri-State area, with occasional on-site travel as needed. You'll be working heavily with VMware 8 (including migrations and upgrades), Windows Server environments, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure to modernize and maintain critical systems that support core business operations., 50% VMware / Virtualization (vSphere, ESXi, migrations) 30% Windows Server / Active Directory 20% Cloud (AWS/Azure)

Daily Responsibilities 70% Hands On 10% Management Duties 20% Team Collaboration

5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer Strong hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi), specifically version 8 migrations/upgrades Solid experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) Active Directory, DNS, DHCP experience Experience supporting production infrastructure in an enterprise environment

Desired Skills & Experience Experience in financial services or regulated environments Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions Experience with scripting (PowerShell) Knowledge of hybrid cloud architecture VMware certifications (VCP or higher)
