Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Raleigh, NC. Candidate must have strong hands-on responsibility for AWS DevOps, CI/CD automation with Terraform and GitLab, cloud deployments, and end-to-end API, database, and infrastructure delivery. Rate Range: $37/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Developer job responsibilities include: Design, develop, and lead end-to-end full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue). Architect, implement, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices with strong API management practices. Own AWS DevOps activities including cloud provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code using Terraform, and GitLab automation. Ensure application reliability, security, and performance across AWS cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP as applicable). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, review code, and mentor junior developers as a tech lead. Manage data access and persistence using SQL, NoSQL databases, and ORM frameworks while ensuring optimal query performance and data integrity.

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field. 8-10 years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development, with prior technical leadership experience. Strong expertise in AWS DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline creation, infrastructure automation (Terraform), and cloud deployments. Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, with exposure to modern front-end frameworks.
