Job description
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on System Support Supervisor to lead IT support operations within a large food distribution center in Fontana, CA. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day system support, infrastructure performance, and help desk operations while supervising a small IT team. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment., * Supervise the maintenance, performance, and reliability of the local IT infrastructure, including LAN and network systems
- Assist with planning and implementing system upgrades, enhancements, and modifications
- Ensure network security protocols are followed in alignment with corporate standards
- Provide hands-on support for network troubleshooting and escalations
Help Desk & User Support
- Oversee daily help desk operations and ensure timely resolution of support tickets
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues
- Provide guidance and direction to IT support staff
- Maintain and monitor IT ticketing and tracking systems
Systems & Applications Support
- Support and troubleshoot Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Oversee system backups, data integrity, and disaster recovery processes
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement and support internal systems
Telecommunications
- Supervise maintenance and upgrades of the facility's telephone systems
- Coordinate system changes, extensions, and routing as needed
Training & Equipment Management
- Oversee setup and maintenance of computer stations and training systems
- Provide technical support for training programs and onboarding
Asset & Vendor Management
- Manage inventory and procurement of IT hardware, software, and supplies
- Build and maintain relationships with IT vendors and service providers
- Ensure proper tracking and accountability of all IT assets
Reporting & Compliance
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly IT performance reports
- Ensure compliance with company safety, sanitation, and operational standards within IT areas
Requirements
- 4-5+ years of experience in IT systems support, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
- Strong knowledge of networking, LAN infrastructure, and system administration
- Experience with WMS and TMS platforms highly preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
