Job description
Akkodis is seeking a Manual tester for a Contract with a client in Raleigh, NC. Candidates have hands-on mobile testing experience across Android and iOS platforms, responsible for creating detailed test cases, executing end-to-end payment flow testing, and reporting test status in Agile environments. Rate Range: $37/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Manual tester job responsibilities include: Design, document, and execute comprehensive manual test cases for mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms. Validate end-to-end payment flows, ensuring accuracy, security, and seamless user experience across multiple scenarios. Identify, log, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA/Rally, and collaborate closely with developers for timely resolution. Perform backend data validation using basic SQL queries to ensure data integrity and system reliability. Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing test status updates, risk analysis, and quality metrics to stakeholders. Coordinate effectively with onsite and offshore teams, maintaining clear communication, detailed documentation, and adherence to delivery timelines.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 8-10 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, with strong focus on mobile applications (Android & iOS). Proven experience in end-to-end payment flow testing, including validation of transactions and backend data. Strong expertise in test case preparation, execution, defect tracking (JIRA/Rally), and working effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.
