Akkodis is seeking a Technical Trading Support Analyst for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate has proven expertise in resolving critical incidents, partnering with business users, and driving root cause analysis while ensuring system stability, compliance, and uninterrupted trading operations. Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Technical Trading Support Analyst Job Responsibilities include: Deliver front-line production support for brokerage trading platforms, ensuring high availability and rapid response in a live trading environment. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application, data, and infrastructure issues using SQL, scripting, and monitoring tools. Coordinate incident management end-to-end, including escalation, stakeholder communication, and post-incident reviews. Partner with business, compliance, audit, and technology teams to ensure issues are resolved within control and regulatory standards. Develop and maintain operational dashboards, metrics, runbooks, and disaster recovery documentation; participate in DR tests. Support CI/CD and cloud environments (Azure) and participate in on-call rotations to manage high-severity incidents outside business hours.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. 8-10 years of experience in production support within financial services or capital markets environments. Strong hands-on experience supporting trading applications with advanced SQL expertise and scripting/automation skills (Python, Perl, or PowerShell). Proven experience with Azure platforms and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub), with the ability to operate independently in a high-pressure trading environment and participate in on-call support.
