Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Salesforce Engineer to support application design, development, and integration efforts within a dynamic Agile environment. This individual will be responsible for building scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform, implementing integrations with external systems, and ensuring development best practices are consistently followed. The role involves analyzing business requirements, designing technical solutions, and executing implementations with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality, reusable components while continuously improving system performance and development processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience working with the Salesforce platform
- Strong background in application design and software development
- Proficiency in developing reusable modules/components and applying engineering best practices
- Experience implementing and maintaining integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware
- Ability to perform code refactoring and drive continuous improvement
- Capable of making independent implementation decisions with minimal oversight
- Strong understanding of Salesforce fundamentals:
- OOP principles
- Data security
- Data relationships & object modeling
- Sharing model
- Apex development & security
- Lightning development
- Declarative tools (validation rules, flows, etc.)
- Ability to analyze business requirements and create scalable implementation plans
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Certifications: Salesforce Admin, App Builder, Platform Developer I/II, JavaScript Developer I
