Job description

Under the close supervision of the Lottery Manager (Sales), the Program Techinician is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to providing specialized technical services to Lottery winners, players and retailers. The Program technician is assigned to the district office and provides information and assistance, either on the telephone, in person or writing, on rules, regulations, forms, status of claims, ect. to players and members of the public.

This position is headquartered at the Milpitas District Office. This position is not eligible for telework.

Requirements

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • Knowledge of customer service principles, including the ability to handle challenging customers and retailers while providing service in a professional manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Clerical work experience that includes knowledge of basic research and data gathering and record-keeping techniques.
  • Detail-oriented in work deliverables.
