Job description
We are looking for an IT Application Specialist with a strong foundation in system administration. As part of the IT team, you will be the go-to person for keeping our business applications and web services running smoothly, from day-to-day operations to full software lifecycle ownership across the organisation. You will ensure service continuity, manage user access, support end-users, and contribute to IT projects. Your ability to document what you build and maintain will be as valued as your technical skills., Deploy and maintain on-premise and cloud/SaaS applications, including ERP systems. Own the full software lifecycle: installation, configuration, updates, patching, and decommissioning. Manage API integrations, reverse proxy configurations (Nginx/Apache), and SSL certificates. Database Administration Manage SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL), including backups, access rights, and day-to-day queries. This is not a dedicated DBA role, but confidence maintaining and querying databases is expected. Identity & Access Management Manage user identities and permissions through Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, LDAP, and SSO. Enforce RBAC policies, manage groups, and conduct access reviews and audits. Data Handling & Reporting Handle data exports, basic ETL tasks, and reporting needs using Power BI or equivalent tools to support business operations. User Support Provide support for users and business applications. Manage tickets and requests through tools such as GLPI or Odoo. Security & Monitoring Monitor services, respond to incidents, apply security patches, and track vulnerabilities across the environment. Documentation Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, procedures, application catalogues (licences, versions, dependencies), and asset inventories., This role has a direct impact on how the company operates and scales. You will work closely with teams across the organisation and contribute to building a reliable, secure, and scalable IT environment that supports H55's growth. Requirements
- CFC, Bachelor's degree in IT, or equivalent qualification
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Relevant certifications are a plus, including:
- ITIL
- Microsoft AZ-104
- Linux LPIC-1
Technical Skills
- Experience deploying and maintaining on-premise and SaaS applications throughout their lifecycle
- Working knowledge of SQL databases, including backups, rights management, and basic queries
- Familiarity with identity management technologies such as Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, LDAP, and SSO
- Ability to handle data exports, ETL processes, and reporting tasks
- Experience with Odoo or similar ERP/business applications is an asset
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Understanding of web services infrastructure, including reverse proxies, SSL certificates, and API integrations
