Job description
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.

We are looking for enthusiastic engineers/scientists with mathematical, statistical, and systems engineering skills. A self-motivated, creative postdoc will find this environment conducive to intellectual and professional growth., * An understanding of CAD modeling to support the creation of visual language models (VLMs) that will make corrective suggestions to designers
- Demonstrated skills in a software/programming language either in support AI or MBSE tools
- The ability to work and communicate effectively in a diverse team environment
- Self-motivated and independent researcher who has demonstrated experience as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to obtain a Q clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, Doctoral Degree in Industrial Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field of engineering, math, or physics., * A record of achievement through reports, publications, intellectual property, and/or technical products
- Publications in refereed journals and a history of successful research in collaborative team environments
- Experience developing AI applications
- Familiarity with "big" datasets and working knowledge of model-based systems engineering tools
Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM.
