Job description

Analytica is seeking a Data Scientist to support the Program Management, Analysis Consultation, Evaluation & Decision Support (PMACEDS) project for the Chief Data and Analytics (CDAO) office of the Defense Health Agency (DHA). This role will support DHA leadership and stakeholders by providing qualitative and quantitative analytics to inform decision-making across the agency. The position will require working closely with both technical teams and Military Health System (MHS) subject matter experts and engaging with the client on a regular basis to support recurring and ad-hoc data analysis needs., * Analyze structured and unstructured datasets from multiple Military Health System (MHS) data sources to support operational and strategic decision-making

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven insights
  • Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Support recurring reporting requirements and respond to ad-hoc data requests from DHA leadership
  • Utilize SQL, SAS, Python, or similar tools to extract, manipulate, and analyze healthcare and operational data
  • Communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Document data processes, methodologies, and reporting procedures
  • Participate in regular client meetings and provide analytical support to ongoing program initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to data analysis, reporting, and visualization processes, To enhance efficiency, fairness, and accuracy, Analytica may use AI-assisted tools to support certain aspects of our hiring process.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • At least 1 year of experience working with Military Health System (MHS) data, including systems such as M2, MDR, or similar healthcare data repositories
  • At least 1 year of experience creating and maintaining dashboards using Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience in a client-facing role, supporting stakeholders or program leadership
  • Experience with at least one of the following programming languages:
  • SAS
  • SQL
  • R
  • Python
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA)
  • Familiarity with healthcare analytics, population health, or medical data reporting
  • Experience working in a federal government or Department of Defense (DoD) environment
  • Knowledge of healthcare data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with large healthcare datasets and enterprise reporting systems
