Job description
- Support buildings with the collection of student data within the student information software for the district
- Export district data for other third-party software
- Assist the Student Systems Manager in maintaining the overall integrity of student data in the district
- The candidate should be highly motivated with strong organizational and prioritization abilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the direct support of end users of the Student Information System (SIS) at the Tier II level
- Assisting in the training of end users
- Maintain complex databases
- Updates student database systems
- Assisting in performing the End-of-Year Process when appropriate for scheduling and promotions
- Develop training plans for software implementation and train end users
- Developing reports for district use
- Establishing and maintaining user security levels and administration of user ID and passwords for student information system
- Supporting staff with attendance, grades, electronic grade book program
- Resolving duplicate student enrollments and duplicate person records
- Adheres to all district rules, regulations, and policies
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Student Systems Manager, Assistant Director or Director., * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

- Generally, the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking, and 20% standing
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Participates in meetings, workshops and/or trainings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources (e.g. staff, administrators, school site personnel, outside vendors and service providers, etc.) for the purpose of providing technical assistance, advice and support., REPORT TO: Student Information System Manager, Assistant Director of Information Systems & Director of Technology Information Systems
Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience in direct support of a student information system, such as Infinite Campus, Edupoint, Skyward, PowerSchool, etc. is highly desired
- Ability to instruct school building staff with new procedures
- Computer Proficiency required, including Microsoft Office and Database applications
- Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance
- Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products
- Effective problem solving, multi-tasking and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a professional manner
- Experience in an educational environment is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including, but not limited to procedures, testing and technical documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally on the phone and in person
- Ability to work with Vendors/Consultants on problem management issues and escalation(s)
- Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace experience required
- Google Meets experience in a professional setting required
- Adobe Creative Suite experience highly desirable

- Maintains communication with District Staff
- Utilizes existing technology effectively in the performance of duties
- Performs other related work as required
