Job description
We are seeking an Infrastructure (Network/Linux) Systems Engineer to participate on design teams for computing infrastructure in Moorestown, New Jersey.
In this role, you will participate in Infrastructure engineering activities including product selection, design, development, deployment, integration and test. Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of Linux and network systems, as well as ensuring their performance and reliability.
This position requires a U.S. DoD security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Some travel, (Domestic & International), is required to offsite locations including direct waterfront support to surface ships or land based sites.
Requirements

Bachelor Degree or higher in an Engineering field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Linux system or network engineer, designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting a production computing infrastructure

In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Knowledge of configuring and deploying network switches and routers including VLANs and routing protocols (including TCP/IP and Multicast)

Cyber security certification such as CompTIA Security+, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Ability to travel, (Domestic & International), to offsite locations including direct waterfront support to surface ships or land based sites

Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required Desired Skills:

In-depth knowledge in Layer 2 and 3 routing and switching

Strong understanding of Linux security, including SELinux, iptables, FreeIPA authentication service

Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash, and Python

Familiarity with automation tools, such as Ansible

Desire to travel to Guam for extended periods Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $135,961.
