Job description

The FSQA Analyst ensures that food safety, quality, and regulatory standards are upheld throughout the production process. This role combines line inspection duties with broader QA/QC system responsibilities, QC testing, supporting continuous improvement, compliance, and operational excellence. Essential Duties

  • Monitor critical control points and production processes to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Facilitate food safety, quality, GMP, and workplace safety standards across the facility through day-to-day engagement in production area and laboratory.

  • Conduct raw material and finished good sample testing (e.g., pH, Brix, CO , titration, density) throughout production and document in production and QC records.

  • Conduct additional laboratory analysis as needed including: microbiological, physical, and chemical testing required by each facility.

  • Provide assistance in the onsite QC Laboratories, as needed, to support calibration, instrumentation qualification, and other duties such as inventory management.

  • Assist in resolving quality and food safety issues, participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts in the production area and laboratory.

  • Participate in SQF internal food safety audits and food safety GMP inspections.

  • Maintain and verify FSQ documentation compliance.

  • Participate in internal audits, mock recalls, and facility inspections.

  • Calibrate equipment and support ERP system updates.

  • Support document control and retention sample library.

  • May be assigned backup duties for critical programs as needed or other tasks such as environmental swabbing and sanitation clearance protocols.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in manufacturing and/or laboratory/QA roles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Capable of accurate measurement using lab instruments.
  • Time management and self-motivation for continuous improvement.
