Job description
Our DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages) team reviews and analyzes all aircraft obsolescence, working with the aircraft Bill of Materials as well as suppliers obsolescence. The intent is to take a pro-active approach to obsolescence and provide short and long term mitigation in order to address issues in a timely manner.
As a key member of our DMSMS Systems Engineer team, you will:
- Provide technical Obsolescence/DMSMS support
- Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to manage obsolescence/DMSMS
- Lead the review and disposition of DMS Supplier Data Requirement Lists (SDRLs)
- Develop, coordinate, and support the presentation of DMS Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to the program Customer
- Execute proactive obsolescence management
- Coordinate efforts across the obsolescence core team, design engineering, supply chain, and program management functions
Requirements

Experience communicating concepts and implementing project management initiatives

Prior leadership or coaching skills are required

Solid understanding and applicability of technical principles, theories and concepts, applicable to obsolescence/DMSMS management

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering Desired Skills:

Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM)

Experience working with suppliers to resolve issues

Experience in presenting and preparing presentations for internal management and customers

Previous experience leading a team of engineers on a designated platform

Experience in GENBOE and developing estimates for proposals, Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
