Job description
For a fast-growing, U.S.-based B2B SaaS company, we are urgently looking for a Data Scientist to help scale the intelligence layer of a live, customer-facing product. The platform is already in use, data volumes are increasing rapidly, and the focus is now on automation, pre-labelling, and reducing manual configuration for customers. In this role, you will work at the intersection of data science, machine learning, and product. Your models and algorithms will be deployed directly into production and will have a tangible impact on how customers derive value from their data. You'll work closely with founders and senior engineers and have a high level of ownership.
What will you do?
- Design and build the core algorithms powering the platform
- Develop models for pre-labelling, classification, and time-based analysis
- Analyse vague and unstructured datasets and turn them into actionable insights
- Work closely with ML engineers to productionise models quickly and reliably
- Improve data structures and near real-time, event-driven data flows
- Contribute directly to product decisions and automation initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist in a product-driven environment
- Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with common data science libraries
- Excellent SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
- Solid foundation in statistics, modelling, and experimental design
- Preferably a Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics (research experience is a strong plus)
- Experience in SaaS, business intelligence, or other B2B growth environments
Bonus points if you have experience with one or more of the following:
- Pre-labelling, weak supervision, or automated data-labelling techniques
- Recommendation systems, classification, or predictive modelling
- Working with ML engineers to productionise models
- Knowledge of workflow automation, process optimisation, or operations analytics
- Exposure to real-time data and/or event-driven systems
Benefits & conditions
- Fully remote position
- Full-time (part-time is negotiable)
- Highly competitive compensation up to ~$240k, depending on seniority and impact
- Close collaboration with founders and a strong technical team
