Odoo Developer

Henley Morgan is hiring an Odoo Developer in Leeds for an Odoo Gold Partner with a strong UK and European client base. This is a hands-on Python development role building custom Odoo modules, extending Odoo Enterprise apps and delivering integrations across Odoo Accounting, Inventory, Manufacturing, eCommerce and POS. If you are a Leeds-based Odoo Developer, Python Developer or Open Source ERP engineer ready to specialise on Odoo, this is an outstanding move., * Develop bespoke Odoo modules in Python (Odoo 17 / 18) extending standard Odoo Enterprise apps such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, Accounting and eCommerce

• Build and maintain Odoo customisations using the Odoo ORM, XML views, QWeb reports, OWL components and JavaScript front-end widgets
• Develop integrations between Odoo and third-party systems (Shopify, Magento, Stripe, GoCardless, DPD, DHL, HMRC MTD) via Odoo XML-RPC, JSON-RPC and REST APIs
• Work closely with Odoo Functional Consultants to translate business requirements into clean, performant, upgrade-safe Odoo code
• Contribute to internal Odoo accelerators and reusable modules and support the migration of clients between Odoo versions
• Champion Odoo development best practice - Git, code review, automated testing with Odoo's test framework and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong commercial experience as an Odoo Developer, Odoo Technical Consultant or Python Developer working on Odoo / OpenERP
• Expert in Python with a deep understanding of the Odoo ORM, models, fields, computed fields, recordsets and inheritance patterns
• Hands-on with Odoo views (form, tree, kanban, search), QWeb reports and the OWL JavaScript framework
• Experience integrating Odoo with external systems via XML-RPC / JSON-RPC / REST and message queues
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Linux, Docker and Git in an Odoo development context
• Eligible to work in the UK and able to attend the Leeds office on a hybrid basis

Desirable / nice to have

• Odoo certification (current or historical) on Odoo 16/17/18
• Experience contributing to OCA (Odoo Community Association) modules
• Background working for an Odoo Gold or Silver Partner
• Exposure to Odoo Manufacturing (MRP), Odoo POS or Odoo eCommerce themes and Website Builder
