Job description
ProMach's Zalkin and Federal divisions are seeking a talented IT System Administrator responsible for maintaining stable, secure, and well-functioning IT systems while providing high-quality support to end users both onsite and remotely. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring strong technical skills and the ability to work independently within established IT standards.
This position reports to Business Unit IT leadership. While responsible for day-to-day IT operations, all strategic decisions, system design changes, and major modifications are directed by Business Unit IT leadership., * Maintain and support Windows Server environments (2016 - 2025) and Hyper-V virtual infrastructure
- End User support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and business & productivity applications
- Perform system patching and updates using N-able
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and overall environment health
- Support and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Provide onsite support for the Statham location and remote support for an out-of-state site
- Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues and manage ticket flow
- Administer Active Directory including user setup, deactivation, and access management
- Support Syteline ERP-related IT functions, Access databases, and SharePoint environments
- Maintain backup and recovery processes and follow corporate cybersecurity procedures
- Manage IT assets including hardware inventory, software licensing, and lifecycle tracking
- Create and maintain documentation including SOPs, onboarding/offboarding processes, and support procedures
- Coordinate with vendors and support projects as directed by Business Unit IT leadership
- Execute all work in alignment with established IT standards and direction
Requirements
- 3 - 5+ years of hands-on IT Systems Administration experience
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Active Directory
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, switching/routing)
- Experience with patch management tools such as N-able or similar
- Experience supporting multi-site environments (onsite and remote)
- Proven ability to manage daily IT operations independently
- Strong troubleshooting, organization, and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication and customer service mindset
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within established IT standards and processes
- Ability to appropriately escalate and obtain IT leadership approval for changes outside of routine support and maintenance
Preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to Syteline ERP
- Experience with SharePoint and Access databases
- Familiarity with backup solutions (e.g., Barracuda, Veeam)
