Developer Experience Engineer - AI

We are looking for a Developer Experience Engineer AI Tooling to enhance the usability, efficiency, and adoption of AI-powered developer tools across the enterprise. This role focuses on improving workflows, reducing friction, and delivering a seamless developer experience. Key Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams to identify friction points in AI tools and workflows
• Design and implement workflow and UX improvements (commands, templates, onboarding flows)
• Enhance context engineering practices in collaboration with internal teams
• Measure adoption and effectiveness using telemetry and developer feedback
• Create documentation, examples, and enablement materials
• Support knowledge transfer and transition to steady-state operations

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on use of AI-assisted dev tools
• Experience delivering developer-facing improvements (SDKs, CLIs, IDE extensions, internal platforms)
• Strong coding skills in Python and/or TypeScript
• Experience working with shared repositories and developer workflows
• Strong communication and user-focused problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Background in Developer Experience (DevEx), platform engineering, or internal developer platforms
• Experience working with LLMs, prompts, plugins, or AI tooling enhancements
• Familiarity with developer telemetry, analytics, or A/B testing
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• $175,000-225,000 per year
