Job description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Journeyman Telecommunications Engineering Specialist, Telecom Orders to join our CASTLE-NET Program team. This is a remote position .
Be a part of an agile team to provide the U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) OCIO/G-6 with agile, innovative, customer focused, and cost-effective integrated enterprise IT support services in support of the USACE vision of engineering solutions for the Nation's toughest challenges.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing and processing telecommunications service orders while coordinating with vendors to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Maintaining detailed records and resolving order-related issues to ensure seamless service delivery across the program.
- Tracking order status and providing regular updates to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with project timelines.
- Ensuring all procurement and order activities remain in strict compliance with CASTLE-NET policies and procedures.
- Delivering world-class IT services and responsive, dependable customer support to exceed the expectations of USACE IT end-users.
- Strengthening the IT foundation by delivering vital solutions and modernized technological support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in managing telecommunications development, operations, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Excellent knowledge of telecommunications systems, including VoIP, PBX, and network infrastructure.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+) and familiarity with USACE policies and regulatory requirements are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the USACE IT environment, regulatory requirements, and data security, best practices are preferred.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess a Secret security clearance prior to starting this position.
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
